Edwards currently serves as a member of DART team, Disaster Assistance Response Team who deploys during disasters to assist individuals, families and communities during a disaster. His new book \"Coming Through the Flames\" is a memoir dedicated to his children, some of whom did not get to see their dad as a fireman since he retired before their birth.
