She earned a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Music (in piano performance) there. She taught one year at Gulf Park College in Gulfport, MS before going back to Boulder for grad school, and then two years in the Arapahoe County Public Schools in Littleton, CO. After those two years she began teaching piano in her home studio as she raised her five children. She is still teaching and loving it as much as ever now that her children are grown and she has 10 grandchildren and two great grandsons. She is grateful for music in her life, and the fact that, even as much as you learn, there is always, still yet, another insight or challenge waiting around the corner. It is never dull and boring, and provides healthy mental activity along with much sheer enjoyment for an older person. Pat has composed numerous piano pieces (much - thought not all - of it in the jazz\/ragtime genre), choral music, instrumental, orchestral and vocal music.
