Before coming to Johns Hopkins he was assistant chief, Center for Epidemiologic Studies, National Institute\u003cbr\u003eof Mental Health. He was principal collaborator on the NIMH Epidemiologic Catchment Area Study, and has authored or coauthored more than 300 articles and chapters, and written or edited nine books, all in the area of psychiatric epidemiology and public mental health. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eM. Her doctoral training is in genetic epidemiology.
