This work deals with public policies to promote entrepreneurship in the field of creative industries, focusing on economic activities of cultural-religious base.Creative industries include sectors where the final production results in cultural goods of consumption or technological content. The research locus of this work is the municipality of Juazeiro do Norte/CE, since this municipality has a relevant set of creative professionals who direct their work to a religious theme. In view of these aspects, the author of this work was motivated by an investigation guided by the following starting question: What is the content and adequacy of public policies for the promotion of entrepreneurship within the scope of cultural-religious based creative industries activities? The theory chosen as reference for the study was the Eclectic Theory of Entrepreneurship, which considers economic, social, and political factors as determinants of entrepreneurial activity.
