Dr. Edmunds has also been responsible for the formation of many highland games throughout the world, including in Zambia, Nigeria, Iceland, Canada, Finland, Holland, Northern Ireland, England and Scotland. He was an original founder of the International Federation of Strength Athletes (IFSA) and familiar to many as the ever-present referee in many previous World's Strongest Man competitions. Additionally, Dr. Edmunds worked at Drakemire Dairy Ltd. from 1982 to 2000 and retired as the managing director of milk processing.
