(To see more books by Alan, click on his name up above ) Why are we here? How did we get here? What's wrong with our world? Can it be fixed? Is there truth that doesn't change? What's life? What's death? What's love? What does God expect of us? What's going to happen in the future? What can I do about my past? Does God care about me right now? We all have these questions. This book starts the process of discovering some answers. Five minute chunks at a time. "Ask My Pastor, He Knows That Stuff" is a quickstart guide to theology and doctrine. It's Christianity 101, written with grace and humor by a non-theologian for other non-theologians. A super workbook for small groups and Bible study groups. It's an antidote for the pervading postmodern deconstruction of absolutes."If you do not listen to theology, that will not mean that you have no ideas about God. It will mean that you have a lot of wrong ones."- C.S. Lewis"There are five authors whose books I'd pay to read. Alan makes six."- Pastor Andrew Higgins"The time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine "- God: 2 Timothy 4:3Keywords: Theology, Doctrine, Christianity, Bible Study Guides and Workbooks, Biblical theology, Small Group Bible Study.

About the Author
Alan Root Robertson is a big-picture type, always fascinated by the panoramic view of life and faith in Jesus. For 30+ years, he's traveled the nation as an evangelist and a musicianary. He's been privileged to be present at the moment when thousands of kids have said yes to the call of the Holy Spirit in salvation. His job is to download the nuts and bolts of our common Christian thing in songs, sermons, and crusades. Alan's love of teaching has made him a lifelong learner. Along the way, he's noticed that a lot of us don't know what we believe or why we believe it. Plus we don't know how to begin to remedy the problem. Hence, this book. It's a start. Alan is uniquely qualified by his default mode for simplification, encouragement and his seeming inability to be serious for long stretches of time. He has been a geology teacher, an elder, a watercolorist, a producer, a worship leader, a salesman, and a writer. He has been nominated for a Dove award, won 3 national Tele awards, worked with Dolly Parton and Brenda Lee, produced music for Dr. Seuss and Kelloggs and McDonalds, been onstage with Amy Grant, and sung for 13,000 people at one time during a Billy Graham Children's Crusade. He and his wife, Emily have 2 daughters, 2 sons in law, and 5 grandkids. Alan is theologically a Christian mutt, being at home in all the different flavors of churches. The commonality is a love of Jesus and the Scriptures that proclaim him.
