She was born in Leeds, grew up in Zimbabwe and attended Queen Mary \u0026amp; Westfield College in London, where she was introduced to Black British culture and served as African-Caribbean Society president. She has written several books, including From My Sisters Lips and four novels for young adults: 'From Somalia, with Love'; 'Boy vs Girl'; 'Black Sheep'; and the award-winning 'Far From Home'. Na'ima is founder and Editor-in-Chief of SISTERS, a magazine for Muslim women and Discover, an educational magazine.
