He pursued a successful career as a scientist and faculty member at three Canadian universities and served as Dean of Science at the University of Prince Edward Island from 1997-2006. Author of approximately 60 scientific publications, Roger has also received awards in three annual competitions sponsored by the Prince Edward Island Writers' Guild for his literary compositions.
