While in Detectives, Phillips investigated Crimes Against Person including; Serious Assaults, Rape, Homicide. He was Member of SWAT including a role as sniper. The author also Served as Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Treasurer, Vice-President, and President. He is a Co-Founder of the Police Athletic League of Delaware.
