Dr. Hou also attended graduate studies at Columbia University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison earning a Ph.D., which led to 10 years of medical research. He has devoted his time to acupuncture and herbal medicine in New York and New Jersey since 1977. He moved to Orlando in 1982 and opened the J.P. Hou Institute, P.A.
