Irene Hailey Harrington is the author of Coley Hill. A native of Wadesboro, North Carolina, she is one of ten children born to the late Mr. Lucius William Hailey and Mrs. Garfield Bennet Hailey. Irene and her husband, Maurice are the proud parents of three children. She credits her love of writing to learning from her elders. "I like to start a conversation with the senior citizens. I learn a lot from them - their childhood, their parents, how they were educated, foods they ate, games they played, discipline in the home and school.
