Due to rapid development of the web and its related technologies, the web has become popular among all sections of the society. There are many areas of its applications and those who use it would be interested in identifying similar web images as in fraud detection system, diagnosing Bio-medical images, analyzing the geographical images from the satellite, classifying objectionable images, copy right violations etc. The web has provided a platform to connect people and share their information. Due to extensive use of digital cameras, numerous images are currently available over the Internet for web searching and browsing. As a result, there is a demand for developing new and more efficient algorithms for image searching on the web.
