A Kentucky Court provides a history of the court system from the creation of the state, focusing on Boone County, which at one time or another shared a court system with fourteen other counties. It provides valuable information on the Circuit Court, District Court, Family Court, Court of Quarter Sessions, Court of Oyer and Terminer, County Court, Court of Appeals, Supreme Court, Commonwealth Attorneys, County Attorneys, Circuit Clerks, County Clerks, Master Commissioners, and Domestic Relation Commissioners. The book has the history and photographs of the courthouses as well as a history of the hanging tree and mob lynchings. The book is inclulsive from the formation of Boone County in 1798 to 2012 with biographies (including genealogical information) of its 157 court officials. The book includes 137 photographs. About the Author
Tony was born on December 8, 1954. He is the oldest of ten children born to Kenneth R. and Joan J. (nee Laake) Frohlich. He graduated from Boone County High School in 1972, Northern Kentucky University in 1976 (summa cum laude) and Salmon P. Chase College of Law (first in class) in 1980. He has served as Circuit Judge (2004- ), Boone County Master Commissioner (1989-2004), Domestic Relations Commissioner (1989-1990), Assistant Commonwealth Attorney (1980-1989), Boone County Child Support Attorney (1980-1997) and City Attorney for the City of Walton (1980-1989). He maintained a civil law practice for twenty four years. While Circuit Judge he developed the Felony Mediation Docket program which has been adopted by the Commonwealth of Kentucky as well as other jurisdictions. He has served as President of the Salmon P. Chase Inn of Court, President of the Board of Governors for Salmon P. Chase College of Law, House of Delegates for the Kentucky Bar Association, Board of Directors of Boone County Bar Association, Chase College of Law Foundation, Founding Partner and Advisor to The Center for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, Chairman of the St. Paul School Board, and President of the Northern Kentucky Soccer Club. His honors have included Judge of the Year by The Kentucky Justice Association, Salmon P. Chase College of Law Lifetime Achievement Award, Northern Kentucky University Outstanding Alumnus Award, the Boy Scouts of America Award of Merit and Leadership and the Boone County Historic Preservation Board Anne Fitzgerald Award for his lifetime work in history. He has authored numerous publications in the areas of law, history and soccer. He has been a longtime soccer coach, holding national coaching licenses from both the United States Soccer Federation and National Soccer Coaches Association. In 2000 and 2001 he was the coach for the USA Men's Team in the DHL World Championships in Belgium. He married Candace Powell Robbins on May 31, 1975. They have two children, Kenneth and Matthew.
