About the Author
John Stokes was born in New Albany, Mississippi, the same birthplace as William Faulkner. He spent the first ten years of his life in Meridian, Mississippi. He lived a short period of time in Nashville, then moved to Memphis, eventually back to the Nashville area, then to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Lompoc and Ventura, California. He now resides outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee with his wife, Dale. He has been involved with hang gliding since 1975 and has worked with birds since 1977.
