About the Author
Pastor Von, as she is affectionately known, is an awesome Woman of God. She is the Pastor of More Sure Word Church under the Senior Leadership of her husband Apostle Daniel L. Akins, to whom she has been married for over twenty years. Although Pastor Von was already doing the work of a Pastor she was officially ordained in 2004. She is not a pastor in name or title only, but a true co-laborer deep in the trenches of ministry. Pastor Von exemplifies a Proverbs 31 woman, with a Naomi anointing as she has been appointed by God to help lead this generation of women into another place in him. She has been a mentor and confidant to many pastor's wives and other women of God in leadership. Pastor Von encourages women to be empowered, healed, set-free, and delivered through the Word of God and one on one mentoring conversations. It was from these intimate life changing exchanges that Conversations with Pastor Von was birthed. She also mothers many in and outside of the four walls of her church. Pastor Von also founded God's Gems Women's Ministry in 2012. This women's ministry has reached many and hosts an annual conference yearly. Pastor Vonyett S. Akins was born in Milford, Delaware, but has made Warner Robins, Georgia her home. She is Nina to Ty'Nae, Kamari, Shyzarah, Vaiya, Carson, Tyra Rose, Kai, Kaiden, Kingston, Tyrell Jr., and Kannon.
