My name is Joshua Adam Chaudry. Throughout my writing I use poetry as a way to give life to my prose. Since I was young, writing poetry has helped me express myself and understand the world around me, so I will forever consider myself a poet who works at being a novelist. It is important to me that my writing be a catharsis, experienced while I insert myself into the lives of my characters, each one being in some way a reflection of who I am, however dramatized. I have always been fascinated by fantasy and the paranormal, but drama and the human experience are what I find most moving. Therefore, I like to characterize my books as a take on the already profound struggles of man, and draw on the limitless power of fantasy to amplify those otherwise ordinary experiences into something that can truly capture the imagination. I was born in Corbin, KY. I am the single parent of a 12-year-old boy, who was born while I was still in high school. He is very mature for his age, and I might be lacking the proper maturity for mine, so we get along very well. I guide him and instruct him the best I can, but he is my best friend, and, by the end of the day, I oftentimes find that I have learned just as much from him as he has from me.
