About the Author
Over his twenty-year career, Dr. C. Michael Smith has worked as a Financial Advisor, a Financial Planning Analyst, a Plan Design Director, and would eventually become the President and Principal Advisor of his own financial consulting firm. He has obtained the Series 7, 66, and 24 licenses, as well as the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certifications. In addition, he has completed a Ph.D. in Resource Management in which his dissertation topic was on the information-seeking efforts of investors. Dr. Smith developed a passion for helping young people make smart financial choices as a graduate student working with undergraduates. He is still active in these efforts today as a lecturer at a small private college in Virginia, teaching courses in risk management, personal finance, and investments. Other authored works by Dr. Smith include an introductory-level investments textbook for undergraduate students published by Textbook Media Press.
