Bonds of Endearment: My Tryst with Japan

Japan has always fascinated me, and delving into the Japanese language only intensified my curiosity. In 2008, my inaugural visit to Japan, thanks to a generous 'Teachers' Training Scholarship, ' left an indelible mark. Subsequent returns in 2011, 2017, and 2019 for various assignments allowed me to explore different facets of Japan.

The profound impact of Japan on my mind and my growth as a Japanese language teacher are evident. The in-depth knowledge acquired during these journeys enriched my understanding of Japanese ethos, natural beauty, rich culture, and the immense national pride of its citizens. As a teacher, I went beyond imparting language intricacies, sharing the wealth of personal experiences gleaned during my travels.

Japan, with its incredible people and teachers, has given me immense joy and a treasure trove of information. While I can never fully repay this debt, I feel fortunate to share some of that wealth with readers through this Japan Travelogue.
