About the Author
Charles Chiyangwa was born in Chiredzi Zimbabwe. His family moved to Harare the capital city when he was young.As a teenager he started his acting career at Reps Theatre in Harare. He later attended several actor training workshops in Europe while on tour with different plays. He was the first comedian to do stand up comedy on the public circuit in Zimbabwe. As a result Reuters news filmed two documentary film profiles of the rising actor. One covered his career as an actor and the other a year later covered the first known stand up comedy performance in zimbabwe. In his theatre career Charles won two awards out of three nominations. He won the B.A.T. Golden Leaf Award for best cameo and the Arthur Moore Award for best cameo for his potrayal of a drunken security guard. In 1999 he moved to the United States to persue Theatre studies in Texas. His college experiences in Texas were covered by an article that appeared in the Amarillo Globe news. After graduation he moved to Los Angeles in 2002. His first major film role was the independent comedy Robbin in da hood released in 2009. Since then he has appeared in several television commercials. His last known stand up comedy performance was at the HBO comedy festival competition in 2003. At that event he was choosen as one of the finalists. A few days later his stand up career was derailed by the boob incident on hollywood boulevard. 2010 sees the release of his first book titled Boob Explosion shading more light on the effects of that incident.
