About the Author
Robin L. Comeau, grew up on a farm just south of Tomahawk in the township of Skanawan. Residing in Buffalo, NY, since 1987, she considers herself a lifelong student of local history and folklore of the area. A graduate of the State University at Buffalo with a B.A. in History and a Masters in Library Science, she has written local history articles for Tomahawk's hometown newspaper, the Tomahawk Leader, and authored Merrill, recently released as part of the Images of America series for Arcadia Publishing. Comeau, a volunteer for the Tomahawk Area Historical Society acts as webmaster for the society's website. Enjoying genealogical research for nearly fifty years, she also serves as newsletter editor for the North Pines Genealogical Group of Merrill.
