BREATHE is an easy to follow self-help guide for reducing stress and achieving mindfulness in daily life. Centered around the acronym B.R.E.A.T.H.E (breathe, reflect, empathize, accept, thank, hearten, and engage), the book draws upon the wisdom of spiritual teachers, including the Dalai Lama and Deepak Chopra, and the lessons the author has learned from her own life.

Maxine Swisa was a C-level executive at a Fortune 1000 company when she had an epiphany about her life. She was so wrapped up in the outside world's definition of success that she wasn't breathing. She realized that she wasn't enjoying every moment.

She knew she had to change her life, and she followed through on her plans. Now, she wants to help anyone in a similar situation.

With BREATHE, learn how to:

  • bring more laughter and light into your life
  • reduce stress by practicing meditation and mindfulness techniques
  • strengthen the neuroplasticity of the brain
  • foster healthier relationships
  • proactively participate in life!

Each step in the B.R.E.A.T.H.E system comes with activities designed to help you apply these new skills to your own life.
