About the Author
Kay Corbett's formal education includes a Bachelor of Science in Education from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona and graduate studies in voice performance at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Kay has been active in such organizations as the American Association of University Women, the Clifton Community Women's Club, the Democratic Women of Clifton and Northern Virginia, church choirs, and book clubs. Kay and Chuck Corbett have been married 33 years. They have traveled to about 75 countries during that time, including a tour of Stalin's gulag system in the Russian Far East and a trip on the Trans-Siberian railroad, most of Latin America, ancient Mayan ruins in the Guatemalan jungle, and an engrossing two-week visit to Cuba through Elderhostel. Kay has remained a mother to her Calla Lilies, Teresa and Lisa, for over 40 years and to her Calla Lilies, Cynthia and Tina, for 15 and 28 years respectively. She is also stepmother to Chuck's two sons, Ken and Clay. Kay and her husband, Chuck, live in Clifton, Virginia
