About the Author The author is a native of Cincinnati and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He spent forty years in the FBI serving in many capacities. Among his assignments was a tour of duty as special agent in charge in San Juan, covering Puerto and the US Virgin Islands. He also served as special agent in charge of the field office in El Paso, Texas. He was awarded the FBI Medal of Valor for a violent confrontation with and armed and dangerous fugitive. After retirement he became active in the El Paso Writers League and has won numerous awards in the League's yearly professionally judged contest. He is married to an artist and educator and they have two children and four grandchildren.
