Hurd, Jan: - An educator whose forty-year career began by teaching young children to read, Jan retired in 2014 in her hometown Anniston, Alabama. The quietude of country living developed a creative outlet in writing children's stories. Collaborating with daughter Jennifer, the Cleo and Olive book series was born. Jan is married to high school sweetheart, Glenn Hurd, and she is the proud mother and grandmother of three children and five grandchildren. She is lucky to have been chosen as Olive's Keeper.Hurd Tucker, Jennifer: - Born in Columbus, Georgia, Jennifer grew up in Anniston, Alabama. She started her career as a special education teacher and has continued in the field of education for eighteen years. She delights in working with emergent readers as they develop a love for reading. Jennifer is married to Brian and they have two girls, Emma Kate and Addison. She and her family are the lucky Keepers of Cleo.
