About the Author
Linda Lovely is the author of the Smart Women, Dumb Luck romantic thriller series, and the Marley Clark mystery series. Both serve up a main course of suspense along with varying amounts of romance and humor. Her manuscripts have earned final spots in 15 contests, including RWA Golden Heart and Daphne du Maurier contests. Dear Killer, the first in Lovely's Marley Clark Mystery Series, was a finalist in the RWA Golden Quill published novel competition, while Dead Line (previously titled Final Accounting) made the finals of the National Readers' Choice Awards for Romantic Suspense. A journalism major, Lovely pursued a career in PR. One of her clients-the investigative firm that served as a prototype for the heroine's employer in Dead Line-introduced her to forensic accounting and other techniques for catching savvy criminals. During five terms as president of the Upstate SC Chapter of Sisters in Crime, she established ties with many law enforcement experts willing to share expertise with authors. In 2014, she attended her third Writers' Police Academy-this time as volunteer staff. She also belongs to Romance Writers of America, International Thriller Writers, and the South Carolina Writers Workshop.
