About the Author
This dictionary has been a work in progress of over ten years. The author previously worked for three Portuguese banks in Lisbon for over twenty years, mainly in the international arena. He travelled extensively to Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Western and Eastern Europe and the U.S.A. He subsequently moved to England where he joined a major British bank in the City of London, covering Latin America. After retirement from the bank, he worked as a freelance translator for the UK Department of Trade and Industry and some of the principal British translation agencies.
