About the Author
Glader, Eugene Arlen: - Eugene Glader grew up on a farm near Cambridge, MN and attended a one room school through the fifth grade. He is a graduate of Cambridge H.S., Bethel College, (AA), Wheaton College, (BA), the University of Minnesota, (MA) and the University Iowa, (Ph.D.). He served in the US Army two years, taught and coached in high schools for three years, and at Bethel College from 1961 to 1981. In 1981 he and his wife became the principal owners of Cascade Lodge and the Blue Water Cafe. In 2004 they sold the lodge and moved to Grand Marais and Gene started researching the history of the town. In 2005 they sold the Blue Water Cafe.
