He has written over 100 articles and reviews for publications, including Modern Painters, ArtNexus, Sculpture Review Magazine, New Art Examiner, Tema Celeste, Art Lies, and San Antonio Current. As an independent editor, John has worked with such institutions as the Whitney Museum of American Art, Museum of the City of New York, Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts at Harvard University, Yale Center for British Art, and MASS MoCA. A graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in film production and critical studies, John has lived in Texas, France, and California; traveled on four continents; and currently resides in Astoria, Queens.
