Families and quilts have been intricately stitched together from the beginning. Families and quilts each have their own unique stories to tell. Just as a quilt is pieced together from separate and distinctive pieces of fabric, so, too, a family. In wonderful parallel to broader, historic trends in quilting, this book tells the individual stories of one Southern Illinois family's life through the lens of one hundred years of their quilts.

About the Author
Krenz, Lisa a.: - After loving quilts all her life, Lisa Krenz first learned to quilt over twenty five years ago as a personal reward for completing her master's degree in special education. Quilting has been her joy ever since. She also loves to write and loves her family, so this project was the perfect confluence of interests. Lisa started her professional career as a special education teacher in Lutheran schools. Over the last few decades she has continued that path as teacher, consultant and college instructor. Lisa has been married to her husband, Stephen, a pastor in Southern Illinois, since not long after she began quilting, so he knew what he was getting into. They have two almost-grown children, Joel and Anna. Lisa currently works as a curriculum editor for Concordia Publishing House in St. Louis, MO.
