About the Author
Saeid Atoofi, Ph.D. has taught and worked in many laboratories, studying the scientific processes--from psychology to neuroscience--that make human language learning possible. His interest in applied linguistics focuses especially on how our brains, in childhood and adulthood, deal with the task of going from language learning to language acquisition. A native of Iran, he has taught at the Center for World Languages (CWL) and in the Dept. of Applied Linguistics at the University of California, Los Angeles, and currently works in the Department of Linguistics in Santiago at the University of Chile.
