From a freak European heatwave to the chilly 22-hour days of Iceland, the author and his wife travel the length of Portugal and then into the mountains of the Land of Fire and Ice on purebred Icelandic horses. Join the couple as they visit Porto in the north of Portugal and head south to the Algarve on the southern coast; then head to Reykjavic to explore the Nordic city and to venture into a world of waterfalls and thermal pools, moss-covered lava fields and glaciers. Hot or cold, these lands will captivate you with their majesty and beauty.

About the Author
Wesley R. Mullen was born and raised in the Philadelphia, PA area. After attending Villanova University, he worked in the legal and financial fields before spending 13 years as an editor at TV Guide magazine in Radnor, PA. In between jobs and during vacations, he traveled extensively in Western Europe. He currently resides with his wife Connie in Florida (but don't hold that against them). Connie has also traveled extensively, and Wes is constantly plotting to catch up with his wife's tally of cities - unlikely, as they now travel together. Mr. Mullen is currently working on essays for his fifth book (Porkpie Hats Are Cool!), expected to see the light of day next year. His mind and body are currently being fueled by massive quantities of Coca-Cola and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
