About the Author
George Thomas (Tom) McCullough was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1937 and is a graduate of The Ohio State University. He has served as a pilot in the Navy and the Air National Guard and is a retired airline 747 captain. He has read and studied Civil War history for decades and is a Civil War living history reenactor, a member of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, the Civil War Trust, the Society of Civil War Historians and the Santa Barbara Civil War Roundtable. He is the great grand nephew of Sergeant Arthur P. McCullough upon whose diary this book is based. His first book: Bernard McCullough and Descendants was published in 2008. This is his second published book. He resides in Santa Maria, California with his wife, Phyllis Thivener McCullough, who is a member of the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War and is also a Civil War living history reenactor.
