About the Author
Deborah Welch, Ph.D. coaches leaders in colleges, school districts, foundations, corporations and small businesses. She has been a faculty member at Capella University since 1999 teaching graduate level courses in the psychology of leadership and guiding dissertation work. She is an innovator in virtual learning processes for support and learning across distances. She designed and has co-facilitated a year long peer leadership coaching program with leadership expert Ann McGee-Cooper and Virginia Gilmore since 2007. When it comes specifically to the work of forgiveness, Deborah is a life long student of the power of forgiveness and continually learning more about the gift of forgiveness and how it leads to thriving in work and life. Deborah studied for 30 years with Dr. Edith Stauffer, a globally known educator on forgiveness whose book on the topic has been translated into 11 languages. Deborah finds that the use of stories are a powerful way for us to take our practices further. She continues to be inspired by her clients, colleagues and friends by the amazing possibilities that arise through forgiveness at work.
