Exotic plants have been discovered in the desert Southwest. First one, then many. What are they? Where did they come from? What do they portend?
As word spreads, the curious investigate. Ranchers and rockhounds at first. Then scientists and government agents.
The searchers sense a world-shattering opportunity. They collide, they cooperate, they compete.
Some become friends, others enemies, yet others . . . both.

About the Author
Hal Barwood is a veteran writer with multiple credits in multiple media. Following college (art major) and film school (animation), for twenty years he was a Hollywood screenwriter (SUGARLAND EXPRESS, DRAGONSLAYER, among others). For another twenty years he was a designer and writer of videogames (INDIANA JONES AND THE INFERNAL MACHINE, YODA STORIES, RTX RED ROCK, many others). After all that time in the collaborative arts, he has now discovered the solitary pleasures of writing for the page. His first novel is SHADOWCOP, the adventures of Marianne Sarzeau, a young policewoman with unusual powers, followed by BROOMHANDLE and WHISKEYJACK, the further adventures of the same extraordinary cop. His latest book is GLITTERBUSH, a here-and-now science fiction adventure set in the southern Arizona desert, where someone has found a very exotic plant.
