About the Author
ANASTASIA KIERST was born in Wyoming and spent most of her childhood and college years in the Rocky Mountains. In addition to writing and illustrating, she has worked as a graphic designer and a children's art teacher. While teaching, Ms. Kierst enjoyed taking her students outside to create art and play. She began to realize just how much kids benefit from daily outdoor exercise, exploration and play. That realization is the inspiration for this book.
