Greenville and Bond County

Founded in 1815, Greenville has evolved from a small farming community into a larger, modern town that today serves as the seat of Bond County. Greenville's town square, once the site of Civil War drills, political campaigns, and Depression-era protests, still draws in residents from Pocahontas, Mulberry Grove, and other surrounding villages. Kaegy, Kevin John: - The Bond County Historical Society has been documenting the history of the county for nearly 50 years. They have led several historical projects in addition to this book, including the restoration of an 1870s Victorian home in Greenville, now known as the Hoiles-Davis Museum.
