About the Author
Born at St. Charles Hospital in 1960, I was the 1st of 3 kids my mother would have. And the 7th of 9 my father would have. I went through the Toledo City school system, attending Mt. Vernon Elementary School, McTigue Junior High School and Rogers High School where I graduated in 1978. Two days after graduating the entire family moved to Pistol River, Oregon where I met the kid I'd follow to college. After we broke up, I stayed in college where I met my now ex-husband. I got two AA degrees, accounting and legal secretarial. After fours years of working for divorce attorney's I decided legal was not for me! In 1988 I married in Astoria, Oregon where my now ex-husband grew up. In 1990 I went into the film processing business where I excelled! In 1993 I started the family tree. In 1995 we bought a house, in 1996 I found out I could not have kids and the mental troubles I'd dealt with all my life got worse. The next four years I got hold of older relatives and picked their brains about Ironville while I secretly worked on this book. In 2004 my now ex-husband told me he'd been cheating on me, sending me over the edge and into a 51/50 situation. He stayed with me 2 more years as I underwent heavy therapy, both mental and drug. Once he thought I was stable enough, my now ex-husband moved in with his lover. We were divorced in 2007 and I lost my job the day the papers were signed. The doctor put me on temporary disability. In 2008 my now ex-husband lost his job and me, my alimony. The next 3 years I ate out of food banks and worked through the disability process, finally getting permanent disability in 2008. Unable to make mortgage, my bank foreclosed on me in 2010 and I moved in with my brother after our mother died that winter. 2011 my ex-husband got a gob and me, my alimony. In 2012 a friend told me about createspace.com and I published the 1st edition of my book. This is my 2nd edition in which I've made some changes. I hope you enjoy it.
