About the Author
Cambridge, Susan: - Susan Cambridge is a survivor. After enduring horrific physical, emotional, and verbal abuse from her mother and brother, Susan decided that it was safer for her to live on the streets of Montreal than in her own home. She was nine years old when she made that decision. When she voluntarily turned herself into social services as a teenager, her life barely improved. Nonetheless, when Susan finished her schooling, she began working with the social service system that had failed her.

She has now worked as an educator for children in crisis for the last twenty eight years. This book is the culmination of her learning and personal experiences.
