About the Author
MacInnes, Ross a.: - Ross MacInnes discovered his life-long passion for horses when he was only seven years old. Discovering the intricacies of handling huge draft horses and learning how to work with cattle under the guidance of his grandfather, Ross continued developing his knowledge and skills for over sixty years, honing his talents under the demanding protocols of the famed RCMP Musical Ride instructors. After retiring from a career in law enforcement, he returned to his roots, creating a family-owned horse ranch in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. He and his wife Dee have two children and six grandchildren, as well as forty horses, some cats and dogs, and thousands of acres of bush, coolies and grazing land. He is the author of two best-selling books, Children in the Game, and The Other Side of Here. Both have achieved critical acclaim.
