About the Author
Eva Louisa Garnsey Card attended the village schools at Lowville, New York. She graduated from high school in 1910, valedictorian and vice-president of her class of thirteen students. She attended Cornell University, majoring in German and minoring in Psychology, graduating in June 1914. Eva met Leslie Card in a Geology class at Cornell. They were married in 916 in the house on Stewart Street, where Eva was born, on the occasion of her grandparents golden wedding anniversary. Eva Louise Garnsey Card is well known in geneology circles for her work on the Garnsey-Guernsey line in America, the definitive account of thirteen generations of descendants from Henry Garnsey (-1692) of Dorchester, Mass., and Joseph Guernsie-Garnsey (-1688) of Stamford, Conn.
