About the Author
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Charles A Brady is a former priest of the Archdiocese of Newark, N.J. As a priest in the 6o's, he worked in several black parishes where he taught Dr King's philosophy of love and brotherhood to the children of the area. His commitment to the civil rights movement led Coretta King to write in the inside flap of her book, My Life with Martin Luther King: "Charley-With deep appreciation for your love and support of those ideals of love, justice, truth, peace and brotherhood. May our common efforts hasten the day when Martin's dream will be realized. Coretta Scott" In 1973, because he yearned to have a wife and children of his own, Mr. Brady resigned from the active priesthood. Two months later, he met his wife, Carmie, about whom this book is written. A year later, they were married and happily became the parents of three loving sons. Mr. Brady entered the Financial Planning profession and two years later received the "Certified Financial Planner"(R) designation. He was recently awarded a lifetime membership in the Association of Financial Planners for his leadership and dedication to the industry. His biography has appeared in Who's Who in the World. In 2007, as a result of his many charitable works, he was voted Citizen of the year by the Elks and Irishman of the year by the Friendly Sons of The Shillelagh. He was also inducted into the Pt. Pleasant Foundation Hall of Fame and named to "America's Best Financial Planners" by the Consumer Research Council of America. He authored the book, I Will Live. My Children Need Me, in order that people who are suffering from debilitating illnesses and other maladies may learn and aspire to new heights as a result of his loving wife's love for God and her three boys.
