Miles is a mischievous young boy who loves his new fire truck more than anything else in the world. Faced with the prospect of bedtime, he does everything he can to delay it, from resisting the idea of taking a bath, to brushing his teeth, to getting dressed for bed. But with the help of his mother, Miles finds a way to turn bedtime into a fun adventure with his new fire truck, from taking a bath with a squishy fire truck toy to brushing his teeth with a fire truck toothbrush and wearing pajamas covered in fire trucks. Even the bedtime story is about fire trucks. As Miles drifts off to sleep, he is filled with the satisfaction that if fire trucks had a bedtime, it would be full of fun just the way Miles likes it.
