In Art: Goats

Goats are a pretty common part of our world. We see goats as mountain dwellers, farm animals and family pets. But do we think of them as having a place in great art? Here is a picture book for students of all ages...A picture book of goats. Sometimes they are the main subject of the painting; sometimes they have a supporting role.

About the Author
Deirdre's appreciation for "Great Art" started when she was a little girl. Her father made sure that his family was exposed to museums of many kinds. As a talented photographer himself, he saw the benefit to seeing things from a different perspective and this led his daughter to appreciate many different kinds of art. Deirdre's favorite artist was Ansel Adams with his black and white photographs of landscapes. Only in the last few years has she come to recognize and enjoy the works of many other artists, and in the process has fallen in love with many different kinds of art, especially paintings, both well-known and not so well-known.
