When marauding gang members snatch Karen Flannigan off the streets of LA during the Rodney King riots, the police are too distracted by wholesale chaos to respond. Her fiancé, Max Singer, decides to stage his own daring rescue. Max, a twenty-nine year old hedge fund manager and black belt in the ancient Korean martial art of Tae Kwon Do, pursues Karen through the anarchy of a burning city at war with itself. About the Author
Greg Curhan is a first time novelist at the young age of 50. He lives in Northern California with his wife, three boys, and dog Max (not the inspiration for the title character). He enjoys skiing, yoga, playing guitar, watching his sons play sports, and of course reading. When Greg was in his thirties he lived in Los Angeles, was a hedge fund manager, studied Tae Kwon Do, and experienced the Rodney King Riots first hand. He is adamant, however, that INDOMITABLE SPIRIT is not an autobiographical novel.
