About the Author
Derek murphy was born in Portland (OR) and had his first religious experience at 6. Since then he's spent three years studying theology and philosophy at a seminary on the island of Malta and witnessed religious, magical and shamanic ceremonies all over the world. In 2006 he received a $30,000 government grant to study comparative religion. He's now living in Taiwan, finishing his PhD and working on his 2nd book.
