About the Author
Oscar Corral is an award winning journalist, author and filmmaker who toggles between his pen and his video camera depending on the project at hand. Corral encountered the story of Reyna Angelica Marroquin, the Salvadoran immigrant discovered under a luxury home in Long Island, while he was a reporter for Newsday in New York. This novel was based on that case, which was featured in 48 Hours, Forensic Files, and an episode of Law and Order. After a successful career reporting for newspapers that include the Chicago Tribune, Newsday and The Miami Herald, Corral linked up with iconic American author Tom Wolfe in Miami while the master satirist researched his latest novel, Back to Blood. The result is Corral's first full-length documentary film, Tom Wolfe Gets Back to Blood. Corral lives in Miami with his wife and fellow journalist Cecile, their two daughters, and their pound mutt Cleo. Look for other books by Corral, including Primary Sins, a political thriller about a sex scandal during a presidential primary.
