"Look at My Eyes," stimulates a social environment for a child inside and outside the Autism Spectrum. The interaction with objects in Christiana's Toy Store guides a child to practice eye contact, which plays an integral role in communication. Eye contact is also critical in the formation of "a connection" with others. Identification of the toys in the store is implemented to encourage protodeclarative pointing. "Look at My Eyes" is designed to strengthen a child's understanding of the importance of maintaining eye contact, the use of greetings & farewells, similes and metaphors, color recognition and identification of emotions. Family members, friends, care takers and teachers are welcome to participate in the reading of this book to provide the necessary support of human interaction suggested while exploring Christiana's Toy Store. Create your personalized mask from the template in, "Look at My Eyes," and enjoy the delightful "eye-full" encounters during this fun, light-hearted read This book is for all children ages 3 and up.
