About the Author
Saak, Eric Leland: - Eric Leland Saak is Professor of History at Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis. He has previously served as Head of the Department of Theology, Philosophy, and Religious Studies at Liverpool Hope University (2010-12), and worked for the Netherlands Research School for Medieval Studies (1994-2000). Trained by the late Heiko A. Oberman, and a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Tübingen, Saak's numerous publications include High Way to Heaven: The Augustinian Platform between Reform and Reformation, 1292-1524 (2002) and Creating Augustine: Interpreting Augustine and Augustinianism in the Later Middle Ages (2012). He also co-edited and contributed to The Oxford Guide to the Historical Reception of Augustine (2013).
