About the Author
Author Kelly Jenkins Lin grew up in Wayland, Massachusetts and attended Mount Holyoke College. After moving to New York City to complete graduate studies at Columbia University, Kelly began a career in communications and marketing. She returned to her home town several years ago with her husband and three daughters and has continued to work as a freelance writer and editor. Mr. Astley's Blueberries is Kelly's first book. Samantha Lane Fiddy grew up in Chelmsford, MA and later received her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. In addition to Mr. Astley's Blueberries, she has illustrated two children's books about adoption entitled And Thea Makes a Family and And Charlie Completes Us. She recently wrote and illustrated Star-Bright Afterschool, which was inspired by her four years as an after school arts teacher in Arlington, MA. She currently lives with her dear husband and son near Washington, DC.
