About the Author
Margaret E. Thompson is Professor Emerita of Multicultural and Global Journalism & Media at the University of Denver, USA. She has also worked as an independent feminist journalist and photojournalist with FIRE - Feminist International Radio Endeavour (Radio Internacional Feminista), located in Costa Rica and produced by Latin American and Caribbean women in Spanish and English. During her time with FIRE, she attended UN conferences and women's international, regional, and national conferences, providing a channel to amplify women's voices on all issues.
